Halloween 2011

I decided to start the month out with some octopus stew.  Cut and boiled hotdogs made the octopus and mac and cheese made great stew it looked sPoOky enough to enjoy. Addison thought it was too ScArY and wouldn't have any part of it.

 

Pumpkin carving was out of the question this year with all the little fingers to get in the way of sharp knifes so I bought these cute stickers and the girls enjoyed making faces and one eyed monsters.

We got the girls ready and out we went for our adventure of tRicK oR TrEaTing. Addison has a great time running from door to door scooping up her treats. Elivia figured out that knocking on doors ment getting her little fingres on that sugery goodness at the third to the last house. She was so cute pounding on the door screaming "rik or teet". What a fun time we had.

Finally the last house we came to Grandma answered and I think that was the best treat of the night.

Here's a little update on my momma. She is doing fine as of now. She finished her radiation treatments a few weeks ago and just went back to work this week. She started back on anti tumor drugs and that along with the radiation has seemed to stop any tumor growth. Now we just wait and see if it sticks.

I sure do love my sweet little mommy. Watching her stay strong with all this hupla surounding her makes my heart melt. I hope that my girls love me as much as I love my sweet mom.

Hogle Zoo 8/2011

HOgle ZOo

It was time for our yearly zoo trip. They had a special dinosaur exhibit at the zoo this year that was pretty neat. I unfortunately did not get any pictures of the dinosaurs because they scared the shit out of Addison and we had to run as fast as we could to catch her while she screamed and ran the other way. We had a good time any way and since Elivia decided she was to big to ride in the stroller she walked the entire way. That was great because it completely wore her out and when she saw the door to leave the zoo she bolted to it. She couldn't get to the car fast enough so Byron went chasing after her and I went to the little park with Addison. That's why their are no pictures of Lu.

Watchyagonnado

Today I was sick. Not just the I'm tired and don't want to do any thing kind of sick, the don't touch or look or ask me to move kind of sick. At 3 a.m. as I am laying in bed realizing I am not going to be able to kick this by morning. I know I have a loong day ahead of me. So what do you do as a mother who knows your going to have to take care of children all day feeling as though you may indeed pass out and throw up at any moment...absolutely nothing. I am here to tell you if you are contemplating having children, remember you get no sick days. Sucking it up and dealing with it as best as you can is all you got but nobody says you gotta like it. Nope I hate it, I hate days like this your can't lay in bed and get better, nope you get to change diapers and make food all while keeping the puke bucket close at hand. I feel however that letting my kids go stark naked all while eating pop tarts, Popsicles, dry cereal, anything that they can feed themselves and have little cleanup as possible is not a problem. I can after all supervise them from the couch and open my eyes only if I hear a loud bang and cry afterword...no blood...there fine just shake it off. I occupied most of my time on the couch and without much effort my kids survived the day. I did stand long enough to make some dinner but that's about it. My house on the other hand looks a little trailorish but, eh, tomorrow is another day. So to all you sick moms who just have to deal with it I just want you to know I'm sorry. Really, really. sorry.

Elivia is coming fast upon turning 2 and the fun has already begun.

She was feeling a little under the weather so everything was a little over dramatic.

Addison first day of Preschool

Addison was so excited for her second year of Preschool. She loves her teacher Miss. Heather and has so much fun playing with all her classmates. She especially loves to play with her good friend Jaycee Call they are so lucky to be able to go to Preschool together.
